Philosophy
I believe that children ought to be nurtured to have their optimal skills and character shine through. Thus, I find the slogan "Nurture their nature" to be the perfect summary of my childcare philosophy.
I believe in providing the best care to our growing kids and providing them with opportunities to think and discover things in their quest to prepare themselves for life. I feel that everything a child experiences in their young age will shape their future and that everyone has the potential to shine.
As your child's caregiver, your children will find my program engaging and enjoyable. I also believe in consistency and fairness. I make my best effort to integrate the things that you find important in teaching your child into their day at my home as well. Thus, I do my best to uphold certain rules that parents have into their child's daily care. As an experienced therapist, I will sit down with each parent and discuss any goals or concerns you may have for your child. This may be something simple, such as encouraging sharing or more positive behaviour, using the toilet, or even decreasing tantrums and encouraging problem solving. I use Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) as a means to achieve this, which encourages desired behaviour on a schedule through rewards and praise and identifying the triggers of undesired behaviours and removing such triggers in an unobtrusive and child-centred way.
